Leukovorin/Foliamin

An active form of folic acid that improves cellular metabolism and protects healthy cells. It is used for anemia, in the complex therapy of oncological diseases and to reduce the toxicity of chemotherapy.

Procedure Description

Normalizes the level of folic acid in the body. The preparation is used to treat and prevent anemia, improve cellular metabolism and the general condition of the body. The preparation is often prescribed in complex therapy to enhance the effect of cytostatic agents and eliminate the side effects of their use.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of megaloblastic anemia caused by folic acid deficiency

Elimination of side effects of methotrexate and other folic acid antagonists

Complex therapy in cytostatic treatment

Chronic fatigue and weakness associated with folic acid deficiency

Contraindications

Increased sensitivity to the components of the preparation

Pernicious anemia (vitamin B12 deficiency)

Pregnancy and lactation period (doctor's consultation is required)
