It is better to start body detox after consulting a doctor and undergoing a medical examination to check your health. The fact is that some dietary adjustments are acceptable only for healthy people. Knowing how to do a quick body detox, it is important to ensure a smooth entry and exit from this process. A sudden change in your diet will cause great stress to the body, which can be very harmful instead of beneficial. The main steps of detoxification, each lasting 7 days:
- Preparation. It is important to analyze your diet for several days, evaluate the foods and dishes you prefer, the frequency of snacks, and the portion size. It is also necessary to analyze taste preferences (sweets, pastries, salty foods), which fruits and vegetables are consumed more often and in what form. When the assessment of your diet is completed, it is necessary to gradually reduce the amount of simple carbohydrates, canned and pickled products, and salty foods. Nutrition should be as simple as possible. At the preparation stage for detox at home, it is recommended to add cottage cheese with fruits, lean meat (boiled, steamed), fruits and nuts, low-fat fermented milk products, fish and seafood (stewed, baked, boiled). It is required to minimize the consumption of salty and sweet foods.
- Detoxification. The diet should be based on freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, herbal teas, unsweetened fruits and berries, and greens. A small amount of nuts, spices, mushrooms, plant-based milk, flax or chia seeds is allowed. Understanding how to quickly do a detox at home, you need to plan the menu and types of dishes for daily meals for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner in advance. During detox, the following factors are important: the consistency of dishes, food combinations, heat treatment. A large number of smoothie, salad, first and second course recipes will help you choose those options you like and ensure the intake of essential nutrients. During this week, you can use onions, garlic, mushrooms, and spices to give dishes a richer taste and aroma. For cooking, it is better to use cold-pressed vegetable oil. If you really crave sweets, it is better to replace them with fruits; for example, you can bake apples or pumpkin with a little cinnamon, resulting in a delicious and healthy detox dessert. To make smoothies tastier and more aromatic, you can add plant-based milk, for example, coconut. A moderate amount of nuts in the diet will provide healthy fats and diversify the menu. Hot dishes such as soup, stew, and herbal teas perfectly satisfy hunger. Low-calorie food is allowed without quantity restrictions, so you should not allow strong and prolonged hunger. Detox menus are very beneficial with natural dried fruits, homemade marmalade made from fruit juices, banana ice cream, and vegetable chips.
- Exit from detoxification. Knowing how to make detox proper, you can benefit your body and effectively remove toxins. Exiting detox should also be done gradually. First of all, protein foods should be returned to your diet (low-fat fermented milk products, fermented foods, turkey meat, fish, seafood), starchy vegetables; food can already be slightly more salted. An excellent source of healthy carbohydrates for the body will be cereals (oatmeal, buckwheat).
When the third week is over, the diet can include fermented milk products of usual fat content, fattier types of meat, grapes and other sweet fruits, coffee, black tea, dark chocolate, and honey. But this does not mean that you can consume your favorite "treats" in large quantities; they should be minimized (a quarter of the usual amount).
